Heh, well at least they remember to be worried about Honda’s dueling ability as well.

To me it’s not strange the explanation Honda gives about his sneeze. Where I live it’s a common explanation. It was either this or start slipping someone else’s name for the other person realize that X person is talking about him.
I don’t know how common this is around all of America, but growing up the superstition was that if the center of your palm itched, or one of your ears starts ringing, then someone is talking about you.
Some doodles I’ve been working of my favorite YuGiOh character, Bakura. I did quite a few experiments with this one, but I like how it came out so I decided to post. c:
Hey guys! So as your may or may not know, my partner @cassasart and i had a VERY pregnant, VERY skinny cat hanging around our new apartment after we moved in. She had a filthy collar on that was falling apart and kept trying really hard to come inside, meowing at the door. She was obviously not feral, but probably abandoned. We set up bedding and kept feeding her while we discussed how we could help. Eventually, we reached the decision to adopt her, and lovingly named her Beau!
We set up a (free) vet appointment and brought her inside the night before. Because of how malnourished she was, we were uncertain if she or the babies would make it if/when she gave birth. While at the vet, we found that she didn’t have a microchip, and when they took her for a ultrasound…
Boom! Labor! And a few hours later, we had seven whole healthy kittens, pictured here at 2 weeks old!
The babies were born on August 24th. It is September 8th, 2019 at the time of my writing this post, and after much fretting over the mom’s and the babies’ medical treatment, and radio silence from the adoption groups in the SA area, we decided to ask for help.
We need money for vet care and food for Beau and her babies!
Mom went into labor at the vet before she could be tested for any significant diseases, and we need vet support to make sure the kittens grow up healthy and make it to adoption age!
We have calculated that for the next 6 weeks, we will need up to $500 to ensure that all necessary medical care can be given and so we can provide all necessary supplies for these babies!
I have attempted to reach out to shelters and foster groups for support, but have yet to hear back due to the high volume of stray pets in my city.Anything helps, even just reblogs! We want to make sure that these kittens stay healthy and make it to good homes!!
TL;DR: We need money for the vet care of 7 kittens and their mother! Every reblog and every little bit donated would be a huge help!
Wow!! The response to this post has been incredible!!! We now have enough to get Beau tested for FIV/FelV, as well as get her on a care plan that will cover her vaccinations. However, we still need more to cover the vet care for the kittens!
i shouldn’t be this offended (i’m not actually pls no one think i’m legit mad over anime) because a lot of these posts come from new fans but i’ve seen a few headcanon posts like “kyo’s room is a mess, yuki keeps his neat” or smth and like no!!! kyo is meticulous and disciplined and a more than competent cook! yuki bless his tiny rat heart is a hot mess. yuki is the sohma who lives in a disaster zone at all times and could actually burn water. yuki mixes energy drinks and drinks them out of a starbucks cup. kyo makes green tea because it’s good for him and doesn’t even add sugar.
This!!!!!!! This!!!!!!!!!!! Kyo is canonically pretty put together which is why it makes me sad when I see people peg him as incompetent and praise Yuki for being responsible. I adore both of them and I'm not downing either of them, but Yuki canonically can't cook or keep things clean. This has been proven both by literally the first episode with the disaster kitchen and constant takeout and in the episode where we catch a brief shot of his room before yearly cleaning. Kyo keeps his room clean, takes care of himself diligently, and can canonically cook, which we has been proven by the episode where he expertly forms onigiri and a future episode that's coming up soon. GIVE KYO MORE CREDIT!
it’s all “accidental hand touch” this and “brief longing gaze” that, where’s my support at for “reaching up and fixing someone’s collar for them” crew??
the intimacy disguised as helpfulness! the lingering contact! the optional subdued “you look nice” as they stand too close!!
Fiction is disappointing in its portrayal of…people’s weirdness. Just how weird people really are in real life.
So many books have all their characters be incredibly normal and I’m like ????? You guys can go outside and not run into someone who is even slightly strange? Or act like “quirks” are only for characters who are explicitly supposed to be eccentric instead of just…people being people.
like, my neighbor sunbathes in his driveway in his underwear and builds coffins in his spare time. My OTHER neighbor just sets things on fire whenever he needs to relax so at random times he’ll be out burning his deck furniture or something. I knew a guy in high school who woke up every morning at 3am and could lip sync flawlessly to every veggietales song. I knew a girl who collected hand sanitizer and wore bright, glittery green eyesore alligator earrings after she got her ears pierced. our family friend back in Tennessee owns six pugs and an unbridled pug obsession. My brother (13) aspires to be a hobo and calls himself Moped the Cheapskate. My grandma reads ya novels (she loved six of crows btw), determined that she was a ravenclaw through the internet, is responsible for me learning my first curse word, and flips off trump when she’s watching him on TV. one of my high school friends was a conspiracy theorist who did intense research about chemtrails. a member of my squad when I was like 14 was referred to by us only as Poodle. the guy who taught my public speaking class in high school moderated a doomsday prepper forum and would talk wistfully about how he would like a bunker. I used to work out with a guy who worshiped Thor smack dab in the middle of the Bible Belt. today my best friend literally just ate dirt while we were hanging out and I can only be just like “whatever, he eats leaves, the little packets that say do not eat, and food off the floor of restaurants, how could a little dirt hurt him?” because that’s just what he does he just…eats things
The sad thing is that almost everyone I know would be The Weird One if they were part of the cast of a book?? But it isnt weird to be weird or eccentric or the opposite of normal. people are just…that way. books drop any somewhat unusual quality as a marker that a person is “eccentric” and I promise you can’t make your characters too weird
Because I write down people that I meet and hear of: my dad met a lady at his work who claimed to be psychic and talked at length about how ghosts would watch her shower (“I hope you like what you’re seeing!” she would tell them) and about the ghost-seeing party she was planning. He talked to a woman who was a sonographer and who had an enormous tattoo of a dragon all the way up her leg and thigh. “Organs move. Babies don’t,” was her wisdom. He met a guy with a phobia of glitter. People are weird. There’s no excuse to make stock characters and people who are average and without quirks. To me it just makes them seem undeveloped because EVERYONE HAS SOMETHING.
addition: the other day I met my friend’s friend, who once said “I’ve been run over, I’ve been shot, and my birthday is April 13” in a game of two truths and a lie; you can guess which one was false
my English teacher can throw axes. this came up in a conversation about knife throwing
My mom’s cousin 1) bought a urinal at a yard sale 2) had his 50th birthday party in a cemetery
also i work in retail. trust me. people are weird. you have no idea how weird until your the person they never see.
most people have different walks. a lot of people bounce when they walk, particularly if they’re wearing headphones. women swish when they walk. men swagger. men in sneakers walk different to men in boots and i have my suspicions that those walks directly relate to how those people see themselves.
people when walking and talking together will either walk inwards towards each other when swerving around other people or away - this will be an unconscious mutual agreement and is often directly related to how much the talker is waving their hands about while speaking
people with dogs spend most of their time looking down at their dogs and making sure they’re happy. if its sunny most people with pets walk in the shade, often going out of their way to do so by quite a margin. people with dogs automatically pull their dogs in tight when a child is around, most dont even realise they do it.
people on phones walk with their heads down. people with headphones on while on the phone hold their cord or their phone base up to their mouth, even if they dont need to.
people who bump into each other, if they dont stop, swing around in dramatic fashion and apologise loudly, emphasising that they didnt mean that please dont be mad they were just walking.
people count on their fingers while budgeting. doesnt matter if they are buying something cheap. they count it.
young women bounce on their toes when excited. young men tend to rock back on their heels and throw their heads back. all people throw their arms out before stepping into a hug.
couples sway into each other. they swing hands. they lean into each other as they walk, bumping shoulders with every other step.
people wave at each other - they raise on their tip toes to do so even when theyre tall enough to see over peoples heads.
people point to show and tell, even if its something on their phone.
close friends touch shoulders. close friends exchange long looks and roll eyes and share laughter. you can pick close friends because they mimic each others ticks.
new friends are more uncertain. they walk with space between their shoulders. they have to constantly check their pace with the other person - someones always faster and that person isn’t used to having to hold back but they always hold back and they do it automatically because theyre with someone
people sing and bop along to music
people stop and smile at children doing silly things if they like kids, or they roll their eyes and move faster if they dont like them very much
kids are drawn to shiny objects, ramps, steps, poles, and they make a game of everything
toddlers make a bid for freedom. all the time.
parents are harried but proud.
grandparents are indulgent and kind.
people throw kids around. people tug them about their shoulders, guiding them through crowds. people love each other. they touch each other. checking in physically, emotionally. they do it with strangers and with people they’ve known all their lives.
people are so weird. trust me. people. are. weird.
people have all this tiny little ticks and quirks that give so much life to them that if your characters are blank slates, cut out boards, then you haven’t been paying attention.
if you cannot pick out relationships and love just walking down a street then you’re not paying attention.
everything people do. everything people are. screams love and life and all the rich fullness of their inner selves.
people are so goddamn weird - but they are completely wonderful all the same.
When I was a kid and went to summer camp for the first time, one of my cabinmates insisted that everyone call her Toast because she was obsessed with toast. I have insomnia so I was often lying awake while the other girls were asleep, and one night I heard her talking in her sleep. Even now I remember her mumbling “Please, I want some buttered toast.” over and over.
